Market Analyst (Oil) Intern

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
MEMS is an energy trading company located in the galleria area of Houston, TX. The Energy Trading & Marketing Division (herein after, ETM Div) for MEMS is seeking a Market Analyst Intern for a full-time, paid internship during the 2025 summer. This intern will fully support the Crude Oil Team and occasionally be asked to support the New Energy Team as well. The Market Analyst Intern will gain a good understanding of the US energy industry through on-the-job experience, market analysis, and reporting.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- The Analyst Intern will assist the Operations group and perform daily tasks such as
·Daily/Weekly/Monthly Market Reports
·Supply/Demand Analysis
·Support and enhance current models
·Business Systems Support - Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned
- May be involved in supporting Trading as needed.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills (especially Excel, Macros, PowerPoint, and Power BI)
- Must be flexible and have a can-do attitude
- Excellent time-management and organization skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably pursuing a bachelors degree in Business, Energy, Logistics, Computer Science/MIS, Supply Chain or Finance & Accounting.
- Must have minimum of 3.0 GPA
- Junior and senior students only
