What are the responsibilities and job description for the Edibles Kitchen Technician position at Mitten Distro/Mitten Extracts?
Kitchen Technicians work together with their TEAM to aid with all aspects of the Edibles Production process. Under the direct oversite of their Team Leader and Production Manager, this TEAM manages all tasks related to processing high end gummies. From mixing, depositing, molding, and coating using commercial grade candy production equipment.
As a Kitchen Production TEAM Member, you will:
- Operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment, including mixers, cooking vessels and molding machines, ensuring proper function and cleanliness.
- Measure and prepare raw materials, including cannabis extracts, sweeteners, and f lavorings, following precise formulations.
- Collaborate with TEAM members to optimize and streamline the workflow process and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure product consistency and adherence to safety regulations.
- Effectively find and mitigate quality issues at all stages of the process.
- Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail ensuring consistent and accurate processing.
- Participate in training and follow work instructions to create a consistent high-quality f inished product.
- Maintain accurate records of production batches, equipment maintenance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Clean all work areas involved, e.g., sweeping, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing work surfaces and common spaces. TEAM members MUST prioritize Cleanliness and Organization.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cannabis products and adherence to sanitation & CRA standards.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by a Team Member to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. The Team Member must be motivated to excel at production goals and keep pace with the collective team’s work production.
The Team Member must have the physical ability to stand for an 8-hour period. The Team Member must have the physical ability to lift 50 lbs of machinery, ingredients and equipment parts. The Team Member must be able to work inside a climate-controlled environment with supplied uniform and PPE.
Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work
This position is full-time hourly. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday: 1st Shift: 7:00 a.m. through 3:30 p.m.
Note: Hours are subject to change, depending on the schedule. Overtime is sometimes required during the week or weekends.
