What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimating Manager position at Mittera Group Inc?
- Calculates total costs for actual and proposed printing, binding and/or mailing jobs including alternate quantities and production methods.
- Reviews” best fit” information to determine which location is the proper fit for the type of product requested.
- Refines specifications based on knowledge and experience for better production, lower cost, better suitability to end use and adds production steps as necessary to achieve quality level desired.
- Gathers multiple quotes on paper and outside services to assure the Company of receiving the best price.
- Prepares letter or quote outlining specifications of the job.
- Plans and draws layout of the job and determines supplies, materials and equipment needed for job order.
- Maintains accurate records on all jobs and customer.
- Keeps abreast of all printing, mailing and fulfillment industry changes in equipment, methods and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree and two to four years related experience and/or training; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with web, digital, and sheetfed estimating is a plus.
- Full comprehension in reading work instructions and business memos.
- Effective communications skills with all levels within the organization, clients, and outside vendors.
- Strong attention to detail and math skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
