What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Mittera Group Inc?
Mittera is currently seeking Financial Analyst to join our team to manage our financial transactions and reporting processes. This role will support our financial operations and contribute to the overall success of our company. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of accounting principles, be skilled in financial analysis, and be adept at handling various accounting tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze current and past financial performance
- Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
- Act as a resource reporting directly to the Financial Controller
- Timely present performance to the Director of Accounting & CFO
- Ensuring accurate records & financial statements
- Collaborate with other members of the finance team to maintain financial systems & support
- Evaluating and optimizing accounting processing
- Testing internal controls over processes
- Maintaining divisional financial reporting and accounting
- Intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
- Could also include, but not limited to, the day-to-day transactions and reporting for Mittera, and corporate wide reporting
- Accounting degree
- 2-4 years of accounting and/or auditing experience
- CPA preferred (not required). Active status not require
- Ability to communicate with internal and external customers
- Ability to define problems, collect data. Establish facts and draw valid conclusions; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and schedule form.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
- Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity and coordination.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department in the facility
