They must monitor progress of projects as assigned and ensure processes and QC procedures are followed.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Pick and package a variety of materials that require a limited assortment of packing procedures and techniques
- Place, arrange, mark, seal, and tag items on pallets and in containers, bins, and bulk storage
- Consolidate various items for shipment in accordance with standard operating instructions
- Assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping
- Count and sort various product items
- Perform related tasks such as placing labels on packages and handling boxes in preparation for shipping
- Ensure accurate shipping information is attached
- Produces at quantity and quality levels in accordance with production requirements
- Maintains area, worktables, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Abilities
- 1 years of supervisory experience preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of routine picking procedures, techniques, equipment, and basic warehouse procedures preferred
- Skilled in reading specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders
- Must have demonstrated mechanical ability and ability to use various assembly tools
- Requires basic arithmetic and skill to measure, count and weigh products and materials
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Must be self-motivated, reliable, and quality, safety oriented
- Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling, and bending
- Pushing/pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity, and coordination
- Requires near visual acuity
- Requires working around and operating departmental equipment
- Must be able to access and navigate each department in the facility
- Requires the ability to function in a professional manner under stressful circumstances
