MityLite, the premier provider of lightweight durable furniture and a leading Utah manufacturer is seeking a Production Planning Manager to join the Supply Chain team. MityLite products are used by customers throughout the world in the hospitality, public assembly, religious, and education spaces. This position will report directly to the Director of Procurement and Planning.
The Production Planning Manager has a key role within our strategic plan for Supply Chain Management. Excellent organizational skills and ability to balance short term priorities with exceptional data analysis and execution skills will enable this position to succeed and drive a competitive advantage for MityLite.
This is an in office day shift position with a base salary plus 10% EBITA annual bonus potential.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the production planner group across 10 production lines (2-4 direct reports)
- Approve production planners’ schedules based on capacities, production efficiency, and revenue recognizing goals
- Improve on-time shipping % while providing competitive industry lead times
- Focus on smoothing out production schedules and minimizing stockouts
- Develop and track KPIs for production planning group
- Work closely with production managers to ensure needs are met and efficiencies are improved
- Work closely with the purchasing group on material timing
- Fill-in for any related areas related to Supply Chain and successful execution of the production plan
Experience & Qualifications:
- Strong analytical aptitude (Microsoft Excel, JetReports, statistics, root cause analysis, etc.) and ad-hoc data querying
- Understanding of purchasing and planning related financial metrics such as cashflow, inventory turns, payment terms, etc.
- Self-starter with a focus on process and drive for improvement
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system is a plus, but not required
- 5-10 years of experience in direct planning in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing a mid-sized team required
