Senior Warehouse Worker
Miwon Specialty Chemical Co. Ltd. is seeking a Full-Time Senior Warehouse Worker. Miwon produces and supplies raw materials for eco-friendly UV/EB curing systems that are utilized in a variety of applications, including inks for food packaging; special coatings for wood, plastic and metal; and in adhesives for DVD/Blu-ray discs and mobile phones. This position will be housed in Miwon’s 65,000-square-foot production facility located in Columbia, S.C.
Primary Responsibilities: In this role, you will play a vital part in managing and maintaining warehouse operations. You will handle materials, support inventory accuracy, and ensure smooth workflow while adhering to safety protocols. This position is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in warehouse operations, equipment handling, and system management.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Move and organize materials efficiently within the warehouse. To include safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Perform tasks such as unloading, picking, packing, counting, and checking items.
- Operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts, hand trucks, hoists, following safety protocols.
- Input and retrieve data, in to iPads, bar coding scanners, use of warehouse software systems such as enterprise resource systems (ERP), and other relevant databases.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure timely reporting.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines while independently managing tasks.
- Interact with third party truck drivers in a professional manner.
- Interact with internal staff and departments in a professional manner.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Expertise and certification in forklift and equipment operation.
- Proficiency with warehouse management software, bar coding systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to represent the company in a professional manner when interacting with incoming and outgoing truck drivers.
- Fine attention to detail. Must be able to ensure labeling of packaging and paperwork is fully complete, to a high quality standard.
Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of said PPE.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Prolonged standing, walking, and moving throughout the warehouse during the shift.
- Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching to handle materials and equipment.
- Dexterity and coordination to operate material-handling equipment safely.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including temperature extremes in a warehouse setting.
- Visual perception to read labels, operate equipment, and monitor inventory systems.
- Hearing ability to respond to equipment signals, instructions, and safety warnings.
- Ability to climb stairs or ladders as needed to access inventory.
Minimum Job Requirements: 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.; stable work history with good references from past employers; pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
