Part-Time Content Specialist


We are looking for a highly organized and creative individual who enjoys coming up with content ideas that support our clients’ goals and objectives. This position is a key part of our evolving team and will focus on generating cross-channel content for social media, email marketing, and blogs. Our ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, open to feedback, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts across several client accounts.


As this role grows, it will help shape the future of our content offerings and support ongoing strategy for our clients. You’ll use tools like ChatGPT and Claude regularly to brainstorm, draft, and refine content. You don’t need to be an expert in everything. We’re more interested in finding someone who’s curious, collaborative, and excited to learn.


We’d rather hire someone ready to roll up their sleeves and grow with us than someone with an extensive resume but little drive. If you’re ready to contribute, improve, and evolve, we want to hear from you.


Mixed Handed Branding

Mixed Handed Branding (MHB) is a brand development firm that focuses on building brands through strategic brand development. Providing analysis, brand strategy, branded solutions, design, and marketing expertise to help companies manage their brands. Mixed Handed Branding defines the way that organizations think about their brand and it’s intrinsic value to their customers. We do this through strategic brand planning that aligns company goals and objectives to thrive in their respective marketplace.


MHB is a growing company, we were founded in 2019 by Rob Reilly and have been ascending over the last few years. With a growth mindset and a eye toward innovation, we are looking to find a team player that could be a part of our current foundation and our future goals. The Social Media Content Specialist will be a part of strategic business decisions and will help mold the future of the social media team and structure. Our team, structure, and management is all about doing awesome stuff, with a positive attitude and making cool shit happen. 


Role & Responsibilities:

This part-time position will be responsible for content creation and coordination across social, email, and blog platforms. While each client is different, you’ll generally be involved in the following responsibilities:


Content Creation & Strategy – 50%

Social Media Management – 30%

Email Marketing – 10%

Project Coordination & Admin – 10%


Content Creation & Strategy – 50%

Develop cross-platform content (social, blog, email) using AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude

Build monthly content calendars and schedules

Plan and draft social media posts, blog articles, and email content that support client goals

Ensure messaging is consistent across all content platforms

Re-purpose and adapt content to maximize efficiency and impact

Support the team with brainstorming sessions and ideation

Other duties as assigned by the CEO


Social Media Management – 30%

Manage social media platforms for multiple clients

Schedule and publish posts via scheduling tools

Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages as needed (this is a minor aspect of the role)

Coordinate ad campaigns through Meta Ads Manager (and other platforms as needed)

Other duties as assigned by the CEO


Email Marketing – 10%

Write and format email content in line with client goals and tone

Collaborate with design and strategy teams to deliver cohesive campaigns

Assist with building email templates and sequences when needed

Other duties as assigned by the CEO


Project Coordination & Admin – 10%

Track tasks and deadlines for multiple clients

Coordinate with design and strategy team members

Stay organized and follow through on all moving pieces

Other duties as assigned by the CEO


Qualifications

We would like to encourage anyone to apply, but a degree in creative writing, copy writing experience, or english would be preferred. We are looking for someone with strong writing and editing skills that can help write, review, edit, and be in charge of the content we publish on behalf of our clients.


Compensation Details

Pay: TBD based on experience

Payment shall be paid bi-weekly throughout the year and will be direct deposited into your account. Payroll will always be paid out on the first Monday of the following work period with pay covering the previous two weeks. 


Employment Type: Part-Time

This position will be considered part-time with a flexible working schedule that maintains approximately 90% in the office and 10% of work can be done remotely at home and on location with clients. The pay structure with annual reviews is aimed at developing a strategic business partner who can grow with the company and help the company excel and grow in tandem. 


Hours Per Week: 24

An initial 24 hour work week applies to this role, however it is expected that we will flex our hours from one week to the next depending on projects meeting client deadlines and ensuring timely delivery of clients assets. Our goal is to have a conscious work/life balance, but also put forth an effort that gives Mixed Handed Branding the best opportunity to succeed.


Annual Review & Progress: January each year

Each year we will have an official review of duties, roles and responsibilities as they pertain to the growth and functionality of Mixed Handed Branding and the employee. We will set annual performance goals that allow us to track our progress and success as an organization and as individuals. Each year will provide an opportunity to negotiate salary raises as it pertains to roles and responsibility growth. Our annual review will serve as an open dialogue to adjust, focus, or otherwise improve our ability to be financially and creatively successful. It is our expectation that your salary status will change and grow in conjunction with your growth.
