What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cosmetology Instructor position at MIXED Institute?
Our school is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Cosmetology and/or Barber Instructor to join our team. A successful individual capable of demonstrating high-quality techniques and technical knowledge, as well as providing students with the skills and experience needed to succeed as a professional. This position requires flexibility and the willingness to teach a variety of classes for different courses, and we're seeking a passionate and dedicated individual whose goal is to help our students improve their skills and advance their careers.
Responsibilities:
- Be a great teacher
- Be a role model for your students.
- Provide a safe and clean learning environment.
- Manage the class time schedule and room assignments.
- Plan lesson plans and manage student progress in a timely manner.
- Manage the class schedule to ensure that students progress according to schedule.
- Keep up with all state and federal cosmetology laws and rules.
- Manage not only the classroom but also the salon.
Qualifications
- Teaching experience in cosmetology or related field
- Familiarity with adult education principles
- Hands-on experience with hair extensions, hair coloring, and hair styling
- Knowledge of esthetic laser treatment and body waxing
- Classroom experience in cosmetology or beauty education
- Certification in cosmetology or relevant field
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
