Our goal is to foster a collaborative and diverse workforce where dedication and initiative drive excellence in achieving our organizational objectivesJob Summary : Quality Control Inspector to perform inspections consisting of examinations, observations, and measurements to determine the conformance of materials and components to documented drawings, procedures, specifications and codes. The final Inspector is responsible for 100% appearance and size inspection of all members requiring inspection under the SS&E Inspection Sampling Plan, prior to shipping.Duties and Responsibilities :

• Responsible for in-process inspection
• The degree and amount of inspection to be performed will be determined from theproject specifications and applicable codes.
• Perform the final inspection of the required pieces as specified by the SS&EInspection Sampling Plan. This shall be performed after the fabricating welding, andcoating has been completed, but prior to it being shipped.
• Verify that in-process inspection was performed on the designated pieces.
• Inspection is made with respect to shop drawings and includes material size, burnquality, weld appearance, straightness, surface preparation, coating and coatingthickness, proper identification and compliance with procedures, specifications andcodes.
• Record results on the Set 2 drawings.
• Follow the Control of Nonconforming Product procedure for all non-conformanceissues.
• Those persons performing the inspection requirements are under the directsupervision of the Quality Assurance Manager or designer.
• Performs testing of bolting assemblies with Skidmore and records results.RequirementsQualifications : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily. • QC Inspectoro Will at a minimum be familiar with have a minimum of one-year experiencein a structural steel fabrication or similar construction environment.o Must be familiar with shop fabrication techniques and methodology forwhich they are inspecting.o Must be familiar with SS&E work instructions associated with plantoperations for which they are inspecting.o Must be able to read and understand shop drawings, examine materials toensure that it conforms to drawings, specifications, and codes.o If inspecting welds, they must be familiar with welding symbols, procedures,processes and be able to perform visual inspections per the latest edition ofthe Structural Welding Code AWS D1.1o If they are inspecting bolted joints, they must be familiar with and be able toperform inspections per the latest edition of Specification for StructuralJoints Using ASTM A325 or A490 Boltso If they are inspecting surface preparation or coating applications, they mustbe familiar with and inspect the quality of structural steel cleaning, surfacepreparation and be able to measure applied coating thicknesses.
• Final Inspectoro Will have a minimum of two years' experience in structural steel fabricationor a similar construction environment.o Must be familiar with shop fabrication techniques and methodology.o Must be familiar with SS&E work instructions associated with plantoperations.o Must be able to read and understand shop drawings, examine materials toensure that it conforms to drawings, specifications and codes.o Must be familiar with welding symbols, procedures, processes and be able toperform visual inspections per the latest edition of the Structural WeldingCode AWS D1.1.o Must be familiar with and be able to perform inspections per the latestedition of Specification for Structural Joints Using ASTM A325 or A490Bolts.o Must be familiar with and be able to inspect the quality of structural steelcleaning, surface preparation and be able to measure applied coatingthicknesses.o Must be familiar with SS&E Quality ProceduresPhysical Demands :
