Miyake Forging North America is looking for a Quality Assurance Assistant Manager to play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our product, in order to increase clients’ satisfaction and brand loyalty as well as to achieve Miyake Philosophy, Basic Policies, and Objectives. This position is responsible for supervising a Quality Inspector and assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems. The Assistant Manager will work closely with production teams to ensure compliance with quality standards, enhance inspection processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Supervision: Oversee and guide the Quality Inspector in performing daily inspection tasks, ensuring adherence to inspection standards and quality standards.
· Drawing Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed on Production in accordance with the latest drawings.
·Inspection & Measurement: Ensure the inspector accurately measures and inspects products according to specifications, utilizing tools such as hardness testers and microstructure analysis.
·Quality Control & Traceability Control: Support the investigation of defective products on identify root causes, track the product’s traceability utilizing the ERP system (AS/400), and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
·Chemical Control & Data Management: Oversee the proper handling, use, control, and dispose of chemicals that are used for microstructure inspection, within the department. Ensure accurate entry of measurement data into the system.
· Problem-Solving: Identify, analyze, and document internal/ external quality issues, defects, and other problems. Work with the Production staff to recommend, approve, and facilitate solutions, including implementing temporary measures/specs, to mitigate these issues. Communicate issues internally and externally.
· Internal Audit: Conduct internal audit of ISO9001, CQI-9 and other beneficial Quality Management Systems. Support other external and client audits.
·5S Activities: Lead and participate in 5S activities (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
· Training & Development: Provide educational guidance to the inspector and other team members on measurement methods, quality inspection techniques, and addressing quality abnormalities in production.
· Tool Calibration and Inventory Management: Organize and control the inventory of inspection tools and consumable items required for inspection and testing processes. Ensure all tools in use are properly calibrated and manage their annual calibration schedule.
·Knowledge Management: Create, revise, and manage work instructions, SOPs, records, and forms. Manage the knowledge in the dept.
·Non-Conforming Parts: Oversee the sorting process and management of non-conforming parts, including the issuance and control of sorting cards, and the completion of necessary paperwork. Ensure proper documentation and follow-up actions.
Periodical Report: Present daily quality abnormal reports, sorting progress, and other related topics at the morning meeting. Lead and present the QA Monthly Report at the Monthly Management Meeting.

Education/Work Experiences:
· A minimum of a high school or equivalency certificate required
· ISO and/or IATF internal auditor certified professional preferred.
· 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry (preferred)
