What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at MIYAKO?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and efficient manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
- Enter orders into the POS system (Aloha POS) and handle payment transactions
- Provide excellent guest service, ensuring satisfaction and resolving any issues or complaints
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Assist with food preparation and plating as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance guest experience
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, such as Aloha POS, and reservation systems like OpenTable
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and food safety regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide exceptional guest service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively
