Nuclear Med Tech PT Nuclear: Nuclear Medicine TechnologistPart Time
Education: Associate degree required or a bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience.
Licenses: License and/or professional certification required in Nuclear Medicine with current registry recognized by the American Association of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
Requirements: Experience X-Ray, CT, and/or MRI preferred.
Must prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies using a variety of radioisotope equipment. Must be able to administer radiopharmaceuticals or radiation intravenously to detect or treat diseases, using radioisotope equipment. Perform quality control checks on equipment. Maintain and calibrate radioisotope and laboratory equipment. All radiation safety procedures must be followed. Computer skills are required to record and process results of procedures. Must possess good communication skills both written and oral with all levels and good interpersonal skills will be required. Must possess and help implement a positive attitude. Must be versatile with schedule and alter as necessary. Great time management and organizational skills are required. All State and Hospital quality survey procedures that are required must be performed. Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
