What are the responsibilities and job description for the WELLNESS COORDINATOR - FT position at Mizell Memorial Hospital?
Assumes overall responsibility for day-to-day operations of the Wellness Center. Providing high quality patient and member care. Checking patients in and answering all questions they may have. Displaying good skills in equipment usage. Assisting in administrating physical modalities of treatment under the direction of the physical therapist. Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Performs clerical and housekeeping duties for the facility. Registers patients and performs insurance verifications. Has excellent communication skills. Performs other diverse duties as requested or required. Other duties and positions as assigned by supervisor.
- Interpersonal skills including customer relations, reading, and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to work under pressure and under conditions of frequent interruptions.
- Willingness to work in any area requested.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- BLS
- Experienced in patient registration and insurance billing desired
