Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Plant Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Job Description: Must be able to work independently with all areas of the workforce. Must meet/exceed the expectations of all departments and customer. Must adhere to all Safety, PPE Policies and Procedures always.
The Mizkan Dallas facility operates a 24 per hour production facility operating seven days a week. This position requires complete communication and transparency with documentation of preventative maintenances performed and documents regularly emailed to management listing all operations that were completed. This position will have a flexible on-call schedule status during the times that Production, Bulk and Sanitation are on schedule.
All Maintenance personnel will assist all members in other departments assuring proper operations of storing, processing, packaging, warehouse within the confines of 2 buildings. Each will maintain a clean and organized work area and will complete required assigned work orders. Each will respond to requested calls during shift time for necessary repairs, reduce and/or avoid production downtime.
All maintenance and repairs are to be performed in accordance with the equipment manufacturer recommendations, using appropriate parts from approved suppliers. Everyone is required to maintain a “Parts Out of Inventory” documentation along with a list of requested parts to be replenished. All areas must be clean, organized, and free from any debris.
Skills & Abilities:
Prior working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, plumbing and mechanical systems and their operations.
Ability to read and understand and apply same from technical documents, drawings, and blueprints.
Must possess strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills required preferably within a prior bottling facility.
Basic knowledge of shop equipment (ex. Drill press, welders, grinders, lathes).
Must be self-motivated, self-starter and a proven follow-through individual.
Computer skills required: Outlook, basic knowledge of internet and the ability to meet scheduled training deadlines consistently.
Several years’ experience in a FDA and/or USDA inspected facility.
Physical Demands:
Work environment requires various amounts of standing, bending and walking while carrying tools and parts. Must be able to lift 50Lbs without the aid of others and moving between and working in hot and cold environments.
