Summary: Work safely and observe all plant safety, GMP, and food safety rules. Responsible for performing the safe and efficient operation of the Trayformer machine center in such a manner to maintain continuous operation without down time. The position shall also be responsible for cleaning the work area, verification and inspection of product and materials and maintain simple records.
Daily and As Required:
- Follow all safety and GMP rules to assure zero accidents and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Operate the Trayformer machine center in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform change overs as required.
- Participate in the plant TPM program to insure area is always in 5’s compliance, safe and providing continuous operation without down time.
- Recommends and acts on improvements which will insure safety, TPM and business objectives.
- Perform manual tasks which support the continuous operation of the production lines. Such duties may include, but not be limited to:
- Sweeping, mopping and washing of floors and equipment.
- Operation and simple maintenance of equipment for which the associate is trained.
- Rotate duties with other workers at other locations in the plant as required.
- Performs simple quality inspections of product, materials and ingredients to assure
- Maintain simple records and paperwork related to inventory and quality.
- Perform all TPM requirements.
- Performs other duties required of the position or as directed.
- Work safely
- Lift up to 50 pounds independently.
- Perform visual inspections of materials and products.
- Record simple data on paper and/or via keyboard.
- Read and understand simple written instructions.
- Perform other physical tasks which require pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, walking, climbing (stairs and ladders), standing and sitting.
- Able to manipulate hands and fingers to perform a wide array of tasks including grasping of objects and other fine movements.
- Must be capable of attaining a forklift driver’s license.
