Restaurant Host

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring that their dining experience is enjoyable from the moment they arrive. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a passion for guest relations, and the ability to communicate effectively with both guests and staff.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly as they enter the establishment, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
• Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests.
• Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with inquiries and reservations.
• Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure timely seating and service for guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
• Utilize Aloha POS or similar systems for managing reservations and guest information.
• Assist in resolving any guest complaints or issues promptly and courteously.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
• Experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
• Previous experience in hotel or restaurant settings is beneficial.

Expected hours: 8 – 15 per week
