Responsibilities:
- Supervisory and Leadership:
- Supervise and direct the activities of shipping and receiving.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance.
- Schedule and assign work to ensure efficient workflow.
- Resolve employee conflicts and address performance issues.
- Foster a positive and safe work environment.
- Shipping Operations:
- Coordinate and schedule outbound shipments with carriers and customers.
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and labels.
- Ensure accurate packaging and labeling of shipments.
- Track shipments and resolve any delivery issues.
- Negotiate shipping rates with carriers as needed.
