Join the Mizuho team as a Data Governance Analyst!
The Data Governance Analyst will report to the Data Governance Tower Lead. The mandate is to support the Data Governance team with maintenance and monitoring adoption progress of Data Management policy and standards as well as support the development and preparation for Sr Management material
Responsibility:
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the evaluation of the Data Management policy and standards and procedural documents for improvements and annual updates
- Support the adherence review of Data Management policies and standards adoption and support federated teams to meet their data roles and manage artifacts
- Collect and produce reporting for EDMO capability and domain metrics on portfolio of active projects and support reporting of key updates to the Sr Leadership
- Support the in-take process for newly put-forth projects and lead review for prioritization assessment and resource demand allocation
- Coordinate the planning and development of Data Executive Council agenda and assembly of presentation material
- Provide support with EDMO resource tracking including 3rd party vendor Statements of Work
- Ensure clear processes are established for teams to deliver operational updates, ensuring information with weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting schedules
- Assist team members with guidance on Data Management operation model and roles
- Prepare governance and audit updates and reporting, identifying potential risks
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Data Science, Statistics, Risk Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3 years of experience in data governance, data analytics, or risk management.
- Significant experience with Senior level management reporting. Demonstrated ability to ensure communication is at the appropriate impactful level to be presented to Senior Management
- An understanding of cross-functional processes data governance and management functional process as well as the technologies that could enable
- Proven experience and demonstrated team leadership
- Excellent Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams.
- Superior communication skills: both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff
Skills:
- Strong business, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated passion for Senior stakeholder engagement an reporting.
- Strong organizational/project management skills, attention to detail, interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
The expected base salary ranges from $105k-$150k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
