Package Delivery Driver

We are seeking a Package Delivery Driver to join our team! You will drive to deliver and pick up goods and packages.

​Responsibilities:

• Planning and following designated delivery routes efficiently and accurately to ensure timely deliveries.
• The driver is responsible for loading and unloading goods onto and from the truck. This requires physical strength and the ability to handle packages or cargo carefully while operating a lift gate/cargo van door
• Efficiently planning and navigating delivery routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure it is in good working condition. Reporting any mechanical issues, defects, or maintenance needs to the owner
• Maintain accurate inventory of packages and materials
• Interacting with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Providing assistance, answering questions, and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during the delivery process.
• Keeping the interior and exterior of the truck clean and organized

​Qualifications:

• A valid driver's license is required

• A clean driving record.

• Driving experience

• Physical Fitness to be able to safely perform loading and unloading the cargo.

• Familiarity with local, state, and federal transportation regulations and compliance standards is essential. This includes understanding hours-of-service regulations, weight limits, and other relevant laws.

• Effective communication is crucial for interacting with customers, dispatchers, and team members. Clear communication helps ensure accurate and timely deliveries.

• The drivers must be skilled at managing their time to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.

• Map Reading and Navigation Skills

• Accurate record-keeping, documentation, and adherence to delivery instructions require attention to detail.

• Drivers should be capable of addressing unexpected issues that may arise during deliveries, such as traffic delays or mechanical problems.

• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and the ability to perform minor repairs or handle common issues can be advantageous.

• Background Checks and Clean MVR Record as well as Drug testing
