Non-automotive manufacturer is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting functions at their Findlay, Ohio plant. The Accounting Manager will oversee a small team and will be responsible for the site accounting activities, including the following:
- Manage a small team in the accounting department
- Lead the month and year-end closing process for the manufacturing site
- Complete financial analysis on a regular basis
- Manage the payroll process
- Oversee the cash flow process
- Extract data and generate reports in the ERP system
- Complete journal entries and reconciliation
- Lead the site budgeting and forecasting processes
- Communicate with team members to maintain and improve accounting processes
- Assist with site HR functions
- Other duties as directed by management
Candidates should be able to communicate at all levels and work in a “hands on” capacity. Candidates should be approachable, energetic, structured, inquisitive, and have a high sense of urgency and problem solving skills. Medical benefits are available day one of employment. REQUIREMENTS for the Accounting Manager:
1. A Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred; ideally in Accounting or Finance
2. At least 5-8 years in a similar manufacturing accounting role
3. Experience working with ERP systems
4. Month-end and year-end closing
5. Budgeting and forecasting
6. Strong financial analysis
7. Microsoft Excel
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Supervision experience
2. Power BI experience
3. Payroll experience
