Duties
- Operate a box truck or other delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of packages.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining punctuality.
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing exceptional service during deliveries.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff for efficient loading and unloading processes.
- Navigate using GPS or maps to optimize delivery routes.
Skills
- Experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating box trucks and familiarity with manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols.
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Familiarity with route driving and logistics management is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and procedures.
