Job Description
As the Manager of the Data and Analytics team you will be responsible for leading a team of Data Analysts and SQL Developers. You will be responsible for managing priorities of short-term operational tasks with long-term Product feature development. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and leadership skills to oversee data architecture, ETL processes, analytics solutions and operational support.
Data Management Responsibilities
- Leverage Kanban/Scrum methodologies, contribute to requirements gathering, and create processes and documentation to support and refine our processes.
- Allocate resources effectively to optimize productivity, leverage existing skillsets, support individual growth, and deliver on time.
- Work with leadership to establish, maintain, and execute software and project delivery roadmaps.
- Optimize database performance, indexing, and query execution.
- Manage ETL processes using stored procedures, and scripts to consolidate and clean data from multiple sources.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of SQL Server databases for high availability and performance.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards.
- Work with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure accurate reporting.
- Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions for data analysis and reporting.
- Analyze trends, patterns, and insights to drive business decisions.
- Manage and mentor a team of data analysts and database developers.
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand data needs and align analytics with company objectives.
- Implement data governance policies to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
- Stay updated on SQL Server advancements, cloud technologies (AWS RDS), and industry best practices.
Candidates must demonstrate detailed understanding of Database base development lifecycles:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in data management, analytics, and SQL Server administration.
- Proficiency in SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) and database optimization techniques.
- Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization and reporting.
- Leadership experience in managing data teams.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Be highly motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Enjoy critical problem solving.
