MJK Sales & Feed, Inc Ace Hardware is locally owned and operated and has been in business since 1976. As a member of the largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative in the industry we have the privilege of tailoring our store to meet our community needs. In addition to providing the community with their hardware needs we also sell lumber, fence, tack, fertilizer and Purina Feed.
General Summary
Cashiers exemplify the foundation of our service to each customer as they enter and leave the store. They assess the customers' needs and provided assistance by directing then to a Sales Associate that can help them with their needs.
Cashiers provide friendly, fast and accurate service and actively seeks out customers to assist.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Service:
• Provide a positive representation of MJK Sales & Feed, Inc -Ace Hardware
• Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
• Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving
the store.
• Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
• Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
Store Operations
• Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.
• Assist with receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise throughout the store.
• Assist with maintaining back stock levels.
• Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, register stations and outdoor
merchandise area.
• Must have a working knowledge of store policies and procedures; this includes but is not
limited to merchandise returns, price overrides, house accounts and ACE promotional sales/events.
• Assist with providing a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise.
• Assist with merchandise resets through the store.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail, cash handling skills and strong mathematical skills.
• Ensure signage is current throughout the store.
• Communicate any merchandising, cost control or sales idea to General Manager.
• Participate in store meetings.
• Be professional in appearance and actions.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
High School or GED equivalent, retail experience preferred, Standing, walking, lifting (up to 25lbs) and climbing.
Salary : $25,600 - $32,400
