Mid-Sized Construction Company seeking a Fleet Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic for an immediate opportunity. Responsibilities include troubleshoot, diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and light/heavy construction equipment. Perform preventative maintenance in fleet. Respond to service calls, maintain tools. Pick up and deliver vehicles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Diagnose, repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, components, electrical and fuel systems, etc. for various powered and rolling equipment such as, cars, trucks, equipment, and generators.
- Install/diagnose and repair GPS tracking components as needed.
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing regular scheduled preventative maintenance of all company vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain appropriate service and repair records
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma
- 1 years of mechanic experience on light and heavy equipment required.
- ASE certification preferred
Requirements
- Candidate must be able to communicate with job-site personnel.
- Minimum travel is required.
- Clear DMV driving record required.
