What we are looking for :
The Centralized Application & Lease Specialist is responsible for administering the full application review and lease generation process across a designated region. You will collaborate closely with the onsite community management teams to ensure a seamless move-in experience for new residents. This role includes application approvals, income verification, collection of lease signatures, and ensuring compliance with company and legal standards throughout the leasing process.
The Role :
Application and Lease Management
- Administer the full cycle of application review, approval / denial, income verification, lease generation, and signature collection.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of lease information and documents in accordance with MJW's legal and audit requirements.
- Verify resident qualifications, government-issued photo IDs, and other required documents prior to generating leases.
- Adhere to federal, state, and local Fair Housing regulations during the application and lease process.
Collaboration with Onsite Teams
Operational Oversight
Customer Service and Compliance
Process Improvement and Reporting
Qualifications
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, Real Estate, or related field preferred - not required
2 years in property management, leasing, or a related field.
Experience working with leasing documentation and compliance processes.
In-depth understanding of renters’ insurance policies and move-in compliance requirements.
Familiarity with Fair Housing laws and local / state housing regulations
Skills & Expertise :
Proficient in property management tools (Sugar CRM, Onesite, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with automated reporting and data entry tools is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
