We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including custodial duties, floor care, and general maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Buff and polish floors to maintain their appearance.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
- Maintain cleanliness in both residential and commercial settings.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed.
- Conduct minor repairs and facilities maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and polishing.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment or supplies.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
