Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on both commercial and residential cleaning standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct thorough industrial cleaning of facilities, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized and free from debris.
- Carry out floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and polishing to enhance the appearance of flooring materials.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and disposing of waste properly.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning schedules are adhered to and that high standards of cleanliness are maintained.
- Respond promptly to any cleaning emergencies or special requests from management or staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and techniques is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
