MK Marlow Company, LLC, a leading commercial drywall firm with a 40-year legacy, has an immediate opening for an Assistant Warehouse Manager in our Cedar Park/Austin, Texas location.
The Assistant Warehouse Manager supports the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics and deliveries to jobsites. This role is responsible for maintaining a well-organized, safe and productive warehouse environment, ensuring materials and equipment are readily available for projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storing and distributing materials and equipment
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurate and properly documented
- Oversee the organization of warehouse inventory to maximize space and efficiency
- Coordinate with project managers and foremen to ensure timely delivery of materials to construction sites
- Monitor and track inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Work with suppliers and vendors to coordinate deliveries and returns
- Ensure proper handling, storage and disposal of materials following company and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain a safe work environment by complying OSHA regulations and company safety procedures
- Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including inventory logs, shipment receipts and equipment maintenance
- Work with accounting team to verify invoices and purchase orders
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of warehouse experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Must have valid, Class B driver’s license, reliable transportation and clean driving record
- Must have experience with trailers, including loading, unloading, securing cargo, driving with an attached trailer and general trailer operation
- Must pass drug screening and background check
- Positive and clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and take direction
- Familiarity with construction materials, tools and equipment
- Forklift certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrable commitment to safety and strict compliance with all safety regulations
- Ability to lift heavy materials, bend and operate heavy machinery
- Ability to work in a wide variety of weather conditions- you will be outside
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) is preferred, but not mandatory
