MK Services in Middleton, MA is rapidly growing and looking to add a General Manager to our team! Our company is a precision machine job shop in industries such as Aerospace, Defense, and Medical.
The General Manager is responsible for controlling all P & L operational aspects including; revenue growth, profit, operations & production, quality, sales and marketing, IT, human resources, finance, and compliance
Key Responsibilities
- Drive strategically aligned organic growth and ensure that financial goals are met, including monthly sales and EBITDA.
- Work with the Operations Manager and VP of Finance to ensure that the facility's operational activities and tactical actions are executed so that the plant's working capital is properly managed.
- Work closely with the commercial team and customers to drive organic growth.
- Head up day-to-day operations for the unit. Understand the technical aspects of the facility's manufacturing processes to provide support to departmental personnel.
- Increase available capacity via improved operational efficiencies achieving higher revenue/employee, and expansion of existing capacity to handle accelerated organic growth.
- Develop an annual operating plan (AOP). Provide accurate and timely monthly financial reports.
- Develop and institute a performance management process.
- Implement a plant performance system that includes the key performance indicators covering manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, manpower levels, and finance.
- Oversight of CRM database and digital marketing execution.
- Oversight of ERP conversion and Smart Factory implementation.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or similar
- 15 years of progressive manufacturing experience specifically in metal machining businesses. Preferably currently a GM in a manufacturing company OR with at least 10 years of increasing management responsibility in a metals machining environment
- Customer-focused and dedicated to developing strong relationships with key customers
- High technical aptitude - data-driven analytic approach to problem-solving
- Proven financial acumen
- Proficient in ERP systems and have participated in or led an ERP conversion
- Capable of communicating with many different types of coworkers. Experience running a multi-language plant. In addition to English, Spanish and/or Vietnamese experience preferred
- Proven leadership with the ability to engage, develop, and achieve team-based results
- Contract Manufacturing experience within the aerospace/defense, and/or med-pharma markets
