Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems, including but not limited to surveillance systems, access control systems, AV systems, Home Automation Systems, and computer networking solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of wiring and be willing to be certified in new technolgies. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and mechanical knowledge to ensure the successful operation of various low voltage applications.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure low voltage systems including surveillance cameras, av system, and access control systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing low voltage installations.
  • Utilize remote access software for system diagnostics and repairs.
  • Interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and inventory management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while addressing client inquiries or concerns regarding low voltage systems.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in low voltage technology.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical principles, computer networking, and low voltage applications.
  • Familiarity with remote access software and its application in troubleshooting.
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with hand tools and power tools effectively.
  • Experience in installing and maintaining surveillance systems and IDS is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
