Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions and promoting products. Your role is crucial in ensuring a positive shopping experience and maintaining the smooth operation of our retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
• Process transactions accurately using the cash register.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision.
• Upsell products by recommending additional items to enhance customer purchases.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote sales.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies regarding cash handling and security.
• Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves as necessary.

Experience

• Previous experience in a cashier or retail position is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming environment.
• Ability to perform basic retail math for accurate transactions.
• Experience with cash handling procedures is advantageous.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance customer interactions.
• Familiarity with phone etiquette for handling customer calls is a plus.
• A proactive attitude towards upselling and promoting products will be beneficial.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
