MKD Electric is seeking an experienced Lead Fabricator. As part of this role… 

What you will do…

•    Oversee the setup and programming of welding equipment.
•    Inspect work to maintain specified standards and quality.
•    In-depth understanding and working knowledge of welding, including MIG, TIG.
•    Oversee Safety and correct unsafe actions respectfully.
•    Help train new hires and less experienced welders.

What you will need to succeed…

•    Minimum of 5 years of fabrication experience in a leadership role.
•    Minimum of 5 years working with Pipe, structural, and sheet metal.
•    Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints and convey this information to others.
•    Ability to use a computer to read and update schedules and work progress.
•    Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
•    Ability to communicate and report effectively.
•    Aptitude in math and strong problem-solving abilities.

Physical demands…

The Physical demands described within are representative of those that must be met by an Must be able to lift to 60 pounds independently; lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels.

•    Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet.
•    Requires standing for extended period with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may       have fumes or odors.

The base pay range for this position is $34.00 to $44.00 per hour. Please note that the compensation range reflects the base pay only and does not include benefits or bonuses this role may be eligible to receive. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by bona fide factors such as geographic work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
