Cabinet Refacing Installer Job Description
MKD is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused cabinet refacing installer to join our team as an independent contractor. The refacing installer will be responsible for preparing the existing cabinets, sometimes including the installation of new cabinet boxed where needed, and the installation of refacing across the entire cabinet surfaces. The successful candidate will objectively have one to three years’ experience installing refacing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and install refacing according to company standards and guidelines, including the ability to work with silicone, epoxy, sealers, and other bonding agents
- Review paperwork, drawing, and job specs
- Maintain necessary supplies and installation tools
- Loading and unloading of delicate refacing materials
- Removal of existing surfaces where applicable and prepare surfaces for refacing
- Install refacing surfaces with nails and glues, install drawer slides and drawers, and install accessories such as lazy-susan's, specialty drawers for trash and microwaves
- Able to use MKD provided credit card readers to receive progress payment
- Work in a professional, respectful manner with homeowner's present
Requirements
- Previous experience as a refacing installer required: 1-3 years' experience preferred
- Proficient in BuilderTrend software preferred
- Possess excellent customer service and communication skills
- Willing to work flexible hours required
- Strong attention to detail required
- High School Diploma required
