Stone Countertop Installer (1099 Subcontractor)
MKD Kitchen and Bath (MKD) is the premier custom stone countertop manufacturer in the Midwest, proudly serving Michigan, Northern Indiana, and Northern Ohio. With over 75 years of experience, MKD is a third-generation, family-owned business specializing in high-quality fabrication and installation services. As our business continues to expand, we are looking for skilled stone countertop installers to join our growing team.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position, offering you the chance to work with a respected company, earn competitive pay, and enjoy uncapped pay!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Install stone countertops efficiently and to the highest standards, ensuring projects are completed on time.
- Set clear expectations for customers and educate them on industry standards and the best options for their needs.
- Meet and exceed performance standards for timely installations, and upload all installation files and photos to our ERP system immediately after each job.
- Maintain professional communication with customers both in person and over the phone, ensuring a smooth installation process and high customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Customer Service Project Manager and Installation Manager to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Follow all safety protocols and job site regulations to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
- Perform other tasks as needed to ensure quality and timely project completion.
What You’ll Need:
- A valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Strong math skills to help with measurements and precise installation.
- Experience in kitchen and bath remodeling, cabinetry, or stone countertops is a plus!
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- High attention to detail—accuracy is critical in every installation.
- A High School diploma or GED.
