Job Summary: Process bail payments and corresponding paper work. Handle trust account receipts and disbursements. This position exists to provide an entry point for Milwaukee County Sheriff (MCSO) and Community Reintegration Center (CRC) transaction recording. Acts as the initial contact with the public in the Milwaukee County Jail answering inquiries, receiving payments for bails, deposits to trust accounts, entering data into trust accounting system, and processing bail releases.

Essential Responsibilities
- Process bail and commitment payments received from public, including processing the paper work on a County computer file and preparing packets for the Release Deputies/Correctional Officers when appropriate. Process paperwork and cash to allow occupants to self-bail.
- Maintain computerized trust account files, including deposits by occupant and jail type. Properly disburse occupant money upon their release.
- Assist the jail records staff in processing (opening/closing) of trust accounts and other cash receipts . Work with jail records staff to process and deliver bail/commitment paperwork.
- Answer questions from the public and jailers concerning trust accounts and the handling of occupant money and other general questions concerning trust accounts, bails and payment kiosks.
- Balance out cash drawer at the end of shift, prepare deposit, prepare proper paper work and enter relevant information into the computer system.
- Assist the Fiscal Office with Clerical work that may be needed. An example is the processing transfers in and out of our facilities and other facilities throughout the State.
- Maintain and reconcile debit release card log.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Current resident of the State of WI
- Basic knowledge of all related computer and software application, such as word processing and spreadsheet
- High School Diploma/GED required
- At least 6-month(s) experience of cashiering or cash handling experience
