What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Designer/Technician – Transportation Roadway position at MKEC Engineering?

We’re looking for a CAD Technician to join our Transportation team at our Wichita location (in office). This individual will assist with the design of a variety of projects that may include streets and intersections, bridge designs and rehabs, pavement management, highways and roadways, interchanges, urban arterials, rural roads, pedestrian trails, roundabouts, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Provide drafting support to engineers and designers for DOT, municipal, and county-related transportation projects.
- Create drawings based on input from designers and engineers.
- Incorporate redline changes into existing drawings as directed by designers and engineers.
- Assist the project team in meeting client expectations and schedules.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience with Autodesk products.
- Experience with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation products (OpenRoads, InRoads, or Geopak) is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to drawing standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Desire to be part of a team-oriented culture.
- Excellent time management skills.
