A Day in Your Life at MKS :
The Power Electronics Engineer is responsible for the development and release engineering of power electronics ranging from 3-30KW. The successful candidate will be responsible for new design and in parallel support the new product introduction engineering of power electronics used for plasma and reactive gas generation. The successful candidate will be able to operate independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly technical environment and multi-task competing priorities. The successful candidate will work on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. In this role, you will report to the Electrical Engineering Manager.
You Will Make an Impact By :
- Leading new power electronics related product development projects that involve a multi-discipline engineering team.
- Performing engineering analysis using simulation tools such as PSIM, Simulink / MATLAB, SPICE, Mathcad or other related tools.
- Developing, documenting, and executing DVT plans. Reporting on results and recommending appropriate engineering tradeoffs to optimize functional performance, reliability, and product cost.
- Creating and archiving design reports and other product documentation.
- Collaborating with embedded control engineers to integrate firmware with power electronics hardware components.
- Participating in cross-functional project teams to execute upon new product developments involving power electronics for plasma generation applications.
