What are the responsibilities and job description for the Calibration Technician position at MKS Instruments?
A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Calibration Technician at MKS-Ophir, you will partner with our Calibration Department to calibrate laser measurement sensors and meters. In this role, you will report to the Calibration Supervisor.
You Will Make an Impact By:
* Conduct calibration of instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and specifications
* Document calibration results, maintaining accurate and detailed records of all calibration activities for audit and compliance purposes
* Regularly inspect, test, and troubleshoot instrumentation and equipment to detect and correct any deviations from standard performance
* Ensure all calibration activities meet regulatory requirements and internal quality standards, adhering to industry best practices and company policies
* Keep calibration tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring they are properly stored, cleaned, and maintained
Skills You Bring:
* Associate degree, military technical training, equivalent vocational training or work experience
* 0-1 year of related experience
* Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office required
Preferred Skills: (Optional)
* Experience in testing digital and/or analog systems helpful
* Ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
* Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 50 pounds
* Ability to remain in a stationary position for 75% of the time
* Regularly requires manual dexterity and coordination of objects below, at and above shoulder level
