CNC Machinist 1

A Day in the Life at MKS:

As a CNC Machinist 1 at MKS Instruments, you will partner with the machine shop team, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and technical operations teams. You will be responsible for productivity, quality, and meeting the expected daily efficiencies. In this role, you will report to the machine shop supervisor.

Position Information:

• Day Shift (Monday - Friday, 630am - 300pm)

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Operating CNC equipment to fabricate parts.
• Loading parts in machines, cycling machines, and detecting malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged tools.
• Running production lots.
• Detecting and reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to management.
• Performing inspection of machined products including documentation of results.
• Maintaining appropriate paperwork for various parts.
• Producing high quality parts.
• Keeping your work area clean and organized.

Skills You Bring:

• One or more years of related experience required.
• Prior machine shop experience.
• Ability to add and subtract decimals.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time.
• Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination.
• Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for 10% of the time.
• Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level.
• Regularly requires manual dexterity and coordination of objects below, at and above shoulder level.
• Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
• Must be able to exchange accurate information.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly Pay Range: $14.81 - $27.50 hourly. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.

Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
