As a Supply Chain Project Manager (NPI) you will lead a global portfolio of new product introduction initiatives ensuring alignment with strategic category plans and overarching company goals. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain scope of NPI projects, driving seamless execution and cross-functional collaboration. In this role, you will report to the Director, Supply Chain NPI.
This position operates on a hybrid model based out of our Andover, MA office. Applicants must reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Identifying and allocating resources across the supply chain to support critical NPI projects amongst 3 divisions
- Coordinating and managing NPI sourcing activities (RFQ) with engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, program management, and suppliers to ensure the supply chain is ahead of requirements to meet deadlines
- Driving new product introduction to align with global supply chain category plans and business unit objectives
- Collaborating with engineering, cross-functional teams, and other project resources in planning, developing, optimizing, and executing the project sourcing strategy including target costs, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), schedules, and other assigned project deliverables
- Playing a major role in determining target costs with a focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for products and components utilizing should cost modeling and other target costing methods. Perform cost structure analysis, identify cost drivers and areas for cost improvement
- Supporting engineering on NPI supplier and material selection with a standard procurement approach (quality, total cost, delivery time, innovation, avoid single sourcing, promote standardization)
Skills You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business
- 8 years of Project Management or Supply Chain Management
- Experience and the aptitude to quickly understand drawings and technical specifications
- Experience in using ERP tools (e.g. SAP, Oracle etc)
- Ability to articulate a comprehensive vision and project plan across functions.
- Knowledge of machined, cast and sheet metal parts, and electromechanical assemblies
- Proficient in English
- Flexibility to travel globally 20% of the time
Preferred Skills:
- Master’s or MBA in business or engineering
- Experience in Sourcing or Procurement
- CPSM and PMP certification
