What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse - Second Shift position at MKS Instruments?
A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Distribution Coordinator at MKS Instruments, you will partner with our warehouse department, assisting in the shipment and receiving of goods. In this role, you will report to the Materials Supervisor. This is a second shift position.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Responsible for performing the physical or administrative/physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
- Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
- Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.
- Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Post weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.
- Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
- May prepare kitting packages for assembly production and customers.
Skills You Bring:
- Completion of high school, vocational training or equivalent is preferred.
- Requires experience in shipping, receiving and stores, and reading, writing and basic arithmetic skills.
- 1 years of related experience in a warehouse environment
- Familiar with a warehouse management system
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50-75% of the time.
- Shift flexibility.
