Michael Kinder & Sons (MKS), a recognized leader in commercial construction, is seeking a Senior Industrial Sales Leader who will be responsible for driving the expansion and growth of industrial sales. This role requires a strategic thinker and a results-driven professional with deep expertise in industrial sales, business development, and client relationship management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the construction or related industries, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to develop and execute strategies to capture new markets and grow revenue. Additionally, this role will have full responsibility for overseeing the industrial division, from initial prospecting and sales to project completion and ongoing client relationship management.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Sales Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive industrial sales strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Identify target markets, potential clients, and emerging industry trends to drive business opportunities.
- Establish sales targets and performance metrics for industrial sales growth.
Business Development
- Identify, cultivate, and close new industrial construction opportunities, leveraging your network and market knowledge.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in industrial sectors such as manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and processing facilities.
- Develop proposals, presentations, and negotiate contracts to secure high-value projects.
Division Oversight and Project Leadership
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of industrial projects, from initial client engagement through project completion.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including pre-construction, design, engineering, and operations, to ensure successful project execution.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and address challenges proactively to meet client expectations.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for industrial clients, ensuring a seamless experience throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to deliver tailored design-build solutions that meet client needs.
- Address client concerns proactively to ensure satisfaction and foster repeat business.
Team Collaboration and Leadership
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, pre-construction, and operations, to deliver sales objectives.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior sales team members, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Build and lead a high-performance team within the industrial division to meet and exceed organizational goals.
Market Analysis and Reporting
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and client needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Provide regular updates on sales performance, market trends, and goal progress to executive leadership.
- Utilize data and insights to refine strategies and improve effectiveness.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 8 years of experience in industrial sales, business development, or related roles within the construction, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
- Deep understanding of design-build construction processes, industrial project requirements, and client needs.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and experience managing or mentoring sales teams.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, sales reporting, and analytics.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
