Our client is is looking for a Director of Accounting with a detailed knowledge government contract compliance with advanced understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) / Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), experience with supporting DCAA audits, preparation of Incurred Costs Submissions, indirect rates and cost pools, Cost Accounting Disclosure Statements.
Essential Job Functions: Demonstrated strength with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems, including general ledger, cost pools and services centers set up and processing, sales tax, fixed assets, lease accounting, property taxes, gross receipts taxes, and accounting for self-insured medical expenses.
Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. Bachelor’s Degree and 15 years of progressive experience in the federal contracting industry. CPA with strong background in GAAP. Minimum of 10 years of supervisory experience. Strong knowledge or Gov’t contracts types CPFF, CPAF & CPIF, CPFH, FFP, T&M and related accounting revenue recognition issues.
Prior controllership experience highly desirable with oversight of payroll. Demonstrated strength with UKG or similar Human Resources/Payroll Systems. Knowledge of processing Restricted Stock Units, Option, Phantom Stock Units, and Stock Appreciation Rights through payroll. Experience with Financial Reporting Internal and External. Client side leadership supporting external financial audits.
