We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager who is responsible for strategic and tactical sourcing that supports the company’s goals, performance objectives, and customer expectations. The position will work with operations, sales, and marketing to capture business requirements, develop the appropriate strategy, evaluate responses from the supply market, and negotiate agreements that deliver the best quality and value.
- Manage the company's day-to-day purchasing activities efficiently and cost-effectively to support organizational operations.
- Review new commodities proposals for the organization
- Negotiate and solicit the best price/value combination from suppliers and trade contractors
- Participate in review, development and analysis of standardization of equipment, materials, supplies and services
- Provides input regarding interpretation of contract documents and recommends course of action on purchasing and contractual matters.
- Implement improvements to existing purchasing processes and delivery systems
- Handle contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers
- Identify ideal suppliers based on quality, cost and reliability
- Performs a variety of analytical, technical, and administrative work for substantive programs and support activities.
- Responsible for the control and coordination of all required actions to support successful deployments, operation and management of travel for MKS2.
Education Requirements: Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience Requirements: 3 years of experience in similar role
