JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an experienced graphic designer who is comfortable taking the lead on multiple projects. This graphic designer will need to be highly proficient at multi-tasking and directing flow of information. Talking and engaging with clients remotely is required. Effective communication skills via email and telephone are important.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design and create graphics and multimedia to support instructional design and marketing teams
• Produce wireframes and design documentation for interactive projects and custom applications
• Produce polished front-end design solutions and specifications for developers
• Develop and maintain department marketing websites using NPS's CMS
• Design and produced high-end print projects (posters/brochures/marketing materials)
• Support project management—scoping, project documentation, issue tracking, and reporting
• Expert-level experience with Adobe Suite software
• Present design options, tradeoffs, and considerations for leadership decision making
Nice-to-have skills:
• Understanding of user experience (UX), usability, and user-centered design
• Interaction design and prototyping
• Experience with Articulate Presenter/Storyline 360
• Presentation design
Additional / about position:
You will be working collaboratively with a team of instructional designers, media developers, programmers, and project leads in support of the Naval Postgraduate School on a variety of projects—instructional projects, marketing and communications, custom web applications and tools, and more.
