Job description
Our client is a mid-size federal government services contractor with revenues and employees in excess of $300 million and 1,400, respectively, seeks an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to support the company’s rapid growth and strategic plan objectives. The position reports to the Director of Contracts, Army & Marine Corps (A&MC) Sector, and is located at our Warren, MI office.
Essential Job Functions: Primary areas of responsibility include Contracts and Subcontracts (where DCS issues subcontracts) management and administration. Also supports proposal development, DCMA compliance and special projects as assigned. Collaborates with program managers and operations personnel in the A&MC Sector. Works closely with the Accounting Department, Business Development and Pricing groups, Legal Department (General Counsel) and other support service functions. Proactively manages actions to ensure cradle-to-grave compliance with contractual obligations through all phases of the procurement lifecycle, from RFP to close-out.
Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of substantive contracts and subcontracts management experience in a federal contracting environment.
Excellent business acumen as well as analytical and problem solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the FAR and DoD FAR Supplement as well as a working knowledge of commercial terms and conditions. Supports new business capture in the A&MC sector as required. Manages corporate level risk - participates in proposal reviews and assesses and advises on contractual execution and funding risks.
Exposure to, and experience in, the formation and negotiation of contracts and subcontracts, teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other agreements routinely used in the government services sector. Experience communicating and working with Government Contracting Officers and Contract Specialists to address issues constructively and efficiently
Experience working with various contract types (e.g., CPFF, CPAF, CPIF, FPP, FP LOE, Labor Hour, T&M, etc.) and vehicles (e.g., IDIQ, GSA, BPA, BOA, GWAC, etc.).Experience working on all stages of proposal development and negotiations. Experience with Deltek Costpoint preferred. Experience with DoD contracts preferred.
Desired Skills: CFCM or CPCM a plus. An active Secret level security clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance quickly is strongly preferred. Active Top Secret clearance is a plus.
