Robotic Process Automation Specialist
This position will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions using UiPath to automate manual data reconciliation processes for a government contract.
Work Location: On-site in Arlington, VA, based upon the direction and needs of the customer.
Basic Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution of higher learning.
- 4 years of consulting and/or direct relevant industry experience and/or educational training in related field, and exposure to issues involving process automation in a law enforcement environment.
- Expert knowledge and use of the MS Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) to prepare documents and deliver presentations.
- Proven experience in designing and developing RPA solutions, specifically using UiPath.
- Experience with data reconciliation, data management, and process automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to RPA.
- Familiarity with USMS systems and data, particularly the reconciliation of bills and reports provided by different agencies in different formats.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) with ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Must be flexible and able to thrive in a time-sensitive environment to meet strict deadlines with sudden and unpredictable needs, with a high tolerance for ambiguity.
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic who sets high standards for self and others and demonstrates enthusiasm for the mission of the team.
- Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Must have an active Moderate Risk Background Investigation (MBI) Public Trust T3 case type or higher (Secret, TS, etc.). Investigation closure date MUST be less than five years old.
Desired Qualifications and Skills: It is desirable that the candidate have the following qualifications:
- Prior DOJ experience.
- Experience with other automation tools (WorkFusion, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, etc.).
- Background in data analysis or data quality management.
- Knowledge of the USMS or similar federal operations.
- Certified Scrum Master and/or Certified Product Owner.
- Familiarity with the federal prisoner lifecycle (Arrest, Booking, Sentencing, Designation, and Release).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
- Design, develop, and implement RPA solutions to automate manual processes, specifically the reconciliation of bills from USMS districts and detention facilities.
- Utilize UiPath to develop automated workflows that integrate with existing systems and streamline the reconciliation process.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, analyze existing workflows, and identify opportunities for automation.
- Develop, test, and deploy RPA solutions that improve the accuracy and speed of data reconciliation.
- Maintain and support existing RPA solutions, ensuring ongoing efficiency and reliability.
- Work closely with the stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of automation solutions within business operations.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on RPA best practices and methodologies.
- Document processes, designs, and RPA workflows for future reference and training purposes.
- Continuously monitor and assess RPA performance, suggesting improvements and optimizations as needed.
