We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our consulting team in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. What You'll Be Doing:
- Overseeing projects, including contract and proposal preparation, field work scheduling, financial management, and report completion.
- Assigning work to intermediate and junior staff and providing mentorship and professional development.
- Serving as a technical expert on brownfield assessment, environmental remediation, and solid waste consulting.
- Consulting with real estate developers, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to provide expert guidance on environmental and geotechnical projects.
- Leading subsurface investigations, groundwater monitoring design and sampling, geologic interpretation, and technology evaluation.
- Conducting peer review and technical review of remedial investigations and feasibility studies.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for key clients.
- Managing project budgets, invoicing, and profitability while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Proactively identifying potential project risks and implementing contingency plans in coordination with the Team Leader/Operations Manager.
- Contributing to the implementation of business plans and strategic objectives.
- Leading by example and fostering a culture that aligns with the company’s core values.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in civil, geotechnical, or environmental engineering, geology, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in project management within an engineering or environmental consulting company.
- Expertise in geotechnical engineering or environmental remediation in New Hampshire.
- Strong experience working with real estate developers, municipalities, and brownfield projects.
- Background in environmental assessment, remediation, and solid waste consulting.
- Proven experience conducting subsurface investigations, groundwater monitoring, geologic interpretation, and technology evaluation.
- Knowledge of brownfield assessment processes and environmental regulations.
- Experience with peer review and technical review of remedial investigations and feasibility studies.
- A Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Licensed Professional Geologist (PG) in New Hampshire, or someone who has successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and is on track to obtain licensure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Project Management/Accounting software (Vision).
