What are the responsibilities and job description for the Soil Lab Technician-Full Time position at MLA Geotechnical?
Position: Soils Lab Tech
Please note that this is NOT an exhaustive list of all the duties of a Soils Laboratory Technician. Many aspects of your role will be taught and learned on the job.
Job Description:
· Conduct soil analysis and testing using laboratory equipment and techniques taught onsite
· Testing includes sieving, setting up and running proctors
· Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
· Prepare accurate reports based on completed tests
· Communicate and coordinate within a team environment
· Must follow and enforce all safety standards
· Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace
Qualifications:
· No lab experience required
· High school diploma or GED
· Valid driver’s license
· Must be able to lift, carry and push up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
· Must be able to stand continuously for periods of time throughout your shift
· Basic math skills
· Must be punctual, reliable and dependable
· Applicants must pass a background check
